Wheel Sessions
Throwing brings with it messy laughter filled fun, the magical transformation from mud to creation, it’s easy to get hooked! We offer flexible learning tailored to you.

If you wish to continue your pottery wheel learning journey after these initial sessions we have ongoing tutored hours available within our flexible membership.
Wheel sessions are available Fri, Sat, Sun between 10-1pm, Group wheel session Fri, Sat 2pm as standard.
(Out of hours sessions are available where staffing allows).
Wheel sessions are for age 8+
Wheel experience session - 45 mins
This session provides a fun filled try, a bucket list tick!
It’s a great private session for individuals, couples (let’s not forget that ‘Ghost’ connection!) and groups. We start with a 15 minute demonstration by the potter – showing how to throw a pot from start to finish. Then comes the chance to throw your own! The potter is with you every step of the way to support and guide you.
Pots are ready for collection 3-5 weeks after your session.
Sessions price £45 one to one or £35 per person for two or more – this includes clay and bisque firing for one pot.
For bookings of 1-3 people session length is 45 minutes
For bookings of 3-6 people session length is 1 hour 30 minutes as we rotate the group across our wheels.

Private Wheel lessons – 2 or 3 hour option
Dedicated provision offers a great starting point to learn how to throw, demonstration and support are provided throughout and the session is paced to suit you. These sessions can also provide developmental top up and provide a confident spring board into our Improver sessions.

Group Wheel Session
A fun filled 2 hour session for up to six attendees which is suitable for beginners.
The group will receive a demonstration from a Firefly potter followed by our guided support as the group settle in at their wheels and learn to throw.
All clay and the bisque fire of two pots is included, should you make more you wish to keep there is a surcharge of £3.00 per pot.
Available Friday & Saturday and some Sundays 2.30 - 4.30 pm
£50 per person
Glazing
Should you wish to return to glaze your pots you can do so in an optional additional visit on Friday Sat Sun mornings bookable at 10:00 11:00am or 12pm.
We will contact you once your bisque fire is complete (usually between 2-4 weeks), at this point you can choose to simply collect you pots, or if you wish you can book a 2-hour table to return to glaze. Returning to glaze provides the opportunity for you to paint and decorate your creations which we then put through a glaze firing for you, this makes pots food safe and water tight. The cost for the glazing session is usually between £9.50 - £12.00 depending on glaze choice.
