  • When are you open?

    General Opening Fri-Sat-Sun 10:00-2:30pm

    Pottery Wheel Bookings can be made Friday & Saturday 2:30-5:30pm and some Sundays. Please contact us to arrange

    Private bookings are available Mon -Thursday where availability allows, we also run a number of daytime and evening courses.

  • Can I park?

    Yes – on street parking on Town Street for up to 2 hrs, Morrison’s car park and surrounding on street parking.

  • Facilities for babies and young children?

    We have a dry locked space behind the studio, we do have a small number of high chairs. We do not have enough space for wall mounted baby change so you will need your changing mats with you and nappies need to be taken home. We do not have a potty.

  • How long will my visit be?

    Usually 1-2 hours but it depends on the individual.

  • Do I need to book?

    Yes you do need to book for all our activities, you can however just pop in Fri-Sun 10-2:30pm to collection your finished pottery.

  • Can I bring drink/food?

    Yes you can.

    We do not serve refreshments at Firefly but are happy for you to bring your own – taking all/any rubbish created away with you. We have the lovely Marples next door for takeaway hot and cold drinks and sweet treats Mon-Sat.

  • What happens in the case of firing problems?

    Whilst all efforts are made to avoid any issues sometimes they are unavoidable, we are dealing with a production process and a breakable product. With regard to paint your own pottery should your piece be damaged or broken we will contact you to apologies and offer you refund or the opportunity to redo. With regard to made pottery or external potters requiring firing – if we have fired within the boundaries stated for your clay and glaze we hold no further responsibility for faults

  • What if there's a group of us?

    Great, book ahead and we will reserve space for you.

  • How much will my visit cost?

    This is dependant on the service you book, all prices are stated under each service within the website. pottery painting average spend is around £12 with lower and higher items available, wheels sessions start at £45, Hand building sessions start at £12.50.

  • Do you have disabled access?

    I’m sorry to say it’s limited, low step to entrance gives access to our front room where our pottery wheels are available, we can shuffle wheels and provide a private table booking for up to four people. The WC is downstairs,  there’s a further step up to gallery room.

  • How can I pay?

    Cash, Card, Firefly Gift Voucher.

  • Will you come out to me?

    Yes, where feasibility allows.

  • Collecting my pottery

    We will keep your pottery for three months after your visit. Please ensure we have the correct contact details.

  • How long do gift vouchers last?

    Gift vouchers for our Clay experience course are valid for one year from point of purchase, all other gift vouchers are valid for six months.
