
Mindful Clay Workshop
This session is guided by Maja an experienced meditation/yoga teacher and sculptor/potter.
The session will start with an introduction to meditative breathing practices, using clay as a tool for relaxation and wellbeing.
We will start with breath – mind – body connection, establishing a relaxed atmosphere and inviting to the space a sense of tranquility, openness and grounding.
Through guided clay sessions, we will explore the basic hand-building techniques, such as pinch pot, slab and coil building together with simple practices for improving physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.
Make your own collection of unique decorative ware that will transform your home into an inspiring creative oasis. Our main focus will be on the process of making and we will explore the transformative power of relaxation and connection, accessed through the doors of creativity.
We will be using air dry clay to enable you to take away makes on the day. Air dry clay takes around 48hrs to set, you can then decorate in your own time using any craft paint you have at home, makes are not water tight or food safe.
The session will finish with a short closing meditation and optional sharing circle.
This workshop combines working with clay and yoga/meditation, bringing together holistic healing properties of both practices.
No previous experience is needed for this class.
